“…you know that a good, long session of weeping can often make you feel better, even if your circumstances have not changed one bit.”
― Lemony SnicketThe Bad Beginning

It’s scientifically proven that crying can make you feel better.  In fact it makes 9 out of 10 people feel better.  Women cry for an average 47 times a year and men cry an average 7 times a year.  (No surprise there.)

Sometimes you just need to cry.  It doesn’t matter if you are having a great day or a sucky day, you still need to cry.

I hate crying but I still do it.  I am human. I sometimes wish that I didn’t but that’s not the point of this post. The point of this post is that it is okay to cry. It is okay to have a bad day and to throw yourself a pity party every once in a while. It is okay to lay on the couch with a warm blanket and cry just because you can. You are allowed to have those days.  That cry can make you feel better and turn your day around.

So, the next time you have a bad day and you just want to sit down and cry but you don’t think you should, think again.  You CAN cry, there is nothing wrong with that.
